Holiday destination: Ibiza or The Alps
Can you tell us about your job role?
I'm a Technical Account Manager looking after customers who use prof.ITplus. My main aim is to retain and help grow my customers by ensuring they are happy with OGL and by introducing new products and services that can help achieve their business goals.
What is your average day like?
Most days are spent visiting customers, I look after the South (anywhere below Kidderminster), so I travel a lot and have to make sure my days are well planned. In meetings, I will discuss how my customers' businesses are evolving and give tips on how they can work smarter using our services. If I'm not on the road I will be at my desk putting proposals together and booking more appointments.
What’s the most common question you get asked?
"How do you pronounce your surname?"
What is your career background?
It has been very varied. Before working at OGL I was delivering parcels, I've also worked as Quality Control in a brick factory and developed photographs (before digital cameras came about).
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy helping our customers and the challenge of creating opportunities. I also love the people I work with. I've made some great friends during my twelve years at OGL, I doubt there are many offices that have the level of 'banter' that we have.
How do you like to spend your time away from the office?
Most will know I'm a big Liverpool fan so I try not to miss a game, I also like to hit the gym, but most of my time is taken up with my twin girls, they are nearly three now and keep me on my toes.
