Midlands-based cyber security company, CyberGuard Technologies, has achieved CREST certification for its penetration testing services following an extensive assessment and audit process.
CREST is a not-for-profit accreditation body that represents and supports the technical information security market. Set up in 2006 in response to the need for regulated professional services, CREST is now recognised globally as the cyber assurance body for the cyber security industry.
Paul Colwell, CyberGuard Technical Director, commented: “We all know that cyber threats are on the increase and businesses need to take action to protect themselves from attack. But it’s a big decision selecting the right cyber partner - after all, you are giving them complete access to your internal network and sensitive company information. Organisations like CREST provide that added assurance that you are working with a reputable business that operates within agreed best practice policies and procedures.
“This accreditation means that our team of Cyber Testers are qualified to the highest level and have to maintain their knowledge and skills around the latest vulnerabilities to protect our customers. CREST is a highly regarded body that actively enforces a strict code of conduct which gives businesses confidence when dealing with a cyber partner like CyberGuard.”
Paul continued: “Businesses looking for Penetration Testing should always look for CREST accredited bodies to ensure the services are carried out by skilled professionals. The OGL Group of Companies, of which CyberGuard is a member, has been in business for over 40 years and whilst we have grown to be a sizeable business now, we pride ourselves on always maintaining a personal touch with our customers.”
