Holiday Closure Information
Please be aware that OGL’s and CyberGuard's offices will be closed
from FRIDAY 21 DECEMBER 2018 at 5.00pm
until WEDNESDAY 2 JANUARY 2019 at 8.45am
Business Critical support calls for IT Solutions, prof.ITplus and CyberGuard will be taken from customers with support contracts on the OGL main number:
Cover will be available from 9.00am to 5.00pm on the following days:
Monday 24 December
Thursday 27 December
Friday 28 December
Monday 31 January
If you are using tape or external disk backup and you are closing over the holiday period OGL strongly recommends that you ensure that a full backup is completed and verified. The media should then be stored offsite. In addition to the above OGL advises customers to leave their servers running over the break. This is to prevent problems due to temperature fluctuations and condensation.
Holders of a remote monitoring contract should note that we will continue to monitor for server failure as normal. However, we will be suspending the monitoring of backup alerts over the holiday period due to the vast majority of customers not performing backups during this time.
Out of Hours Services
Our Out of Hours Services Support will continue to operate as per your contract over the holiday period. In the event of a business critical issue, holders of these contracts should refer to the Out of Hours Call Logging Procedure for emergency number details.
A patching freeze will take place during the holiday period. Patching services will recommence when our offices open again on Wednesday 2 January 2019.
