Kirsty Sheppard Celebrates 10 Years at OGL

A huge congratulations to Kirsty Sheppard, who is the latest member of staff to join the Long Service Club after recently celebrating her 10th anniversary at OGL. Kirsty was sent an Amazon eVoucher and engraved glass award from Neil Morris on behalf of all the Directors.

Kirsty looks back on the last 10 years:

“I started in 2010 as an Assistant IT Buyer in the Purchasing department. I worked there for around 4 years and then made the move to the Technical department, becoming a 1st Line Engineer on the then TST team. From there I progressed to a Desktop Engineer and then onto a Server Engineer, which is my role today. I have moved between the two sites a number of times; starting in Stourport, I moved to Kidderminster, then back to the Stourport and now I’m back in Kidderminster!”

Favourite aspect / biggest achievement of your time with OGL:

“I was nominated for an Outstanding Service Award and won a Progression Award at the OGL Staff Awards and did a Sky Dive from 13,000ft for Cure Leukaemia.”

Any funny memories / anecdotes you could share?

“I have worked with a lot of different characters over the years and they are such a lovely group of people to work with. In Purchasing we had little theme tunes and sayings for certain things and if I ever hear them in normal everyday life, it makes me think of that group of people and it makes me smile. Most of them were car related, from when our Fleet Manager would come into the office with an emergency because someone had a flat tyre, for instance.”
