Can you tell us about your job role?

My job at OGL is a call scheduler for the Enterprise and OGL Teams. I have to manage the calls that get logged on the desk and assign them to various engineers depending on the level of the call. I also have to keep my eye on the response time for the call and answer overflow telephone calls.

What is your average day like?

Busy! After my morning cup of tea, I start the day by looking at what calls we have outstanding within the teams. We have lots of calls raised daily and I have to ensure I know what’s going on with the calls, the severity of the issue and that the customer is kept informed.

What’s the most common question you get asked?

'What time is my lunch today?' (The Technicians at the helpdesk take staggered lunch breaks to ensure calls are answered throughout the afternoon).

What is your career background?

I left college and went to work abroad for Thomson as a young and lively holiday rep. After completing one season I went to work for MAK Services, I was there for just under 5 years and gradually worked my way up doing various job roles. After deciding I needed a new challenge I applied for a job here at OGL and have been here nearly two years now!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

How varied my days are and my colleagues, I’m lucky to work with some great people!

How do you like to spend your time away from the office?

My partner and I have just bought a house so my weekends now are house related, I also have a 17 week old cockapoo puppy called Doogle who keeps me on my toes!
