Sophie Taylor Celebrates 10 Years at OGL

A huge congratulations to Sophie Taylor who recently celebrated her 10th anniversary at OGL.

Sophie looks back on the last 10 years:

“Arriving for my interview 10 years ago at the age of 19… I was faced with a double interview for the role of Junior Administrator in the New Business Sales team. I received the call to say I had been successful and started within the team. With the most incredible support and training from Sam Griffiths, the whole process seemed slightly easier. After many years Sam was given the opportunity to move to Software Sales, meaning I was to go it alone with the New Business guys!

“No day is ever the same in New Business sales. It is always extremely busy and the days fly by without even realising. It is a very varied role which includes supporting the team daily with contracts and proposals, to liaising with other departments such as Technical and Marketing. Changing job title from Sales Administrator to New Business Coordinator was an important achievement for myself and being acknowledged for my work with the ‘Above and Beyond’ award at the company event.

“Since joining OGL, one member of the team who was also very new at the time of me joining and I’m still working with today is Alex Barnett. Alex has recently taken the role of New Business Sales Manager. I am extremely proud and pleased for him, after many successful years within the team.”

Alex Barnett, Sophie’s manager, congratulates her on her 10 years at OGL:

“I have had the pleasure of working with Sophie for nearly all of my career at OGL and can honestly say I don’t know where I would be without her. Sophie is the rock of New Business; nothing is too much trouble and she can de-stress a situation instantly with her methodical approach and incredible knowledge of our systems and processes. I speak for the whole team when I say that New Business would not be as successful without Sophie Taylor. Thank you!!”
