A taste of an IT career awaits…

We have several work experience opportunities on offer to the local schools and colleges that we partner with. Our work experience programme runs in June and July with a limited number of spaces. Due to the volumes of applications we receive, we’re unable to offer placements to every individual who applies. If we have extra spaces available, we’ll consider individuals who have sent us their CV and covering letter.

Our Work Experience Opportunity

We encourage our work experience students to get as involved with what’s going on as possible. During the placement our students shadow our very talented teams and individuals. Typically, a student spends a week with us and will work on our Service Desk, in our Workshop, with our IT Consultants and may visit customers at their premises with one of our Field Engineers. We also offer placements in our Central Services division, where students can experience what it’s like working in departments such as Finance, Purchasing, Marketing and HR.

Some of our successful work experience students have gone on to be offered permanent jobs with us once their studies have finished and have found it the perfect stepping-stone into a career. Just like Lewis Liggins who came to us on work experience from Worcester College of Technology in 2013 and, following completion of his HND in Computing, he is now employed with us as a Desktop Engineer, having recently been promoted from Technical Trainee.

Our work experience placements take place for one week, Monday to Friday, every year in June and July. For more information, please contact our Careers Team.
