Can you tell us about your job role

I work in the Software Account Management Team as the Software Customer Co-ordinator for Matthew Meredith and Carl Hillier. This involves keeping their schedules as full and productive as possible and supporting them with all their administration needs. I am also currently training to support System Sales, working alongside Stacey Reece, learning all the different aspects of her role to ensure cover and help is available when needed.

What is your average day like

Every day is different! I like to start my mornings by checking the Account Managers' emails to ensure that everything has been read and actioned from the previous day. I will then go on to contacting our customers, securing the Software Account visits for the next couple of weeks, whilst balancing any current projects, paperwork, proposals and quotations that may be required.

What is your career background

I first started working for a company called TDI Supplies, where I supported the Internal Account Managers selling power tools to Western Power Distribution. I really enjoyed this role and the office/sales environment, it was much more suited to my skill set and having already worked in front of house customer service the transition felt very natural.

Prior to starting at OGL I had spent the last 4 years working for Forest Garden where I ran the Administration Department as the Senior Team Leader, managing a team of 12. It was during this time that I really discovered my forte and gained a lot of experience in planning and organising a wide range of administrative activities.

What do you enjoy most about your job

I really enjoy the camaraderie within the Software Team, since starting at OGL I have been made to feel welcome and part of the family almost immediately.

I am quite an outgoing person so I have really enjoyed getting to know our customers over the phone and have recently accompanied Matt on his external visits which was a great opportunity to meet with some of our customers face to face.

How do you like to spend your time away from the office

I enjoy keeping fit and active and spend a lot of time walking in the forest with my partner or at the gym, swimming or taking part in Zumba classes… I’m not very good but I love the music!
