What did you do before joining OGL?
Worked for a facilities management company called Arcus, supporting the specialist engineers whilst on-site.
Tell us a bit about your role
I have a very varied role in HR including absence management, organising long service awards, updating HR policies and procedures, completing DSE assessments, supporting recruitment and payroll.
What are you most proud of in your job?
Watching employees confidence grow from being nervous new starters to being effective members of their teams!
What do you like about working at OGL?
The variety my role gives me, one day I could be archiving, interviewing, helping with a payroll query, next day at a careers fair inspiring the next generation!
What's the best career advice you have been given?
We spend more time at work than we do at home, so it is very important to be doing something you really love.
What do you get up to at the weekend?
Either baking or following my better half all over the country watching him complete in triathlon and running events.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A police officer and I was a special constable for a few years.
