This release introduces key enhancements that allow carriage costs to be recorded directly against sales orders and invoices. Carriage costs can be applied manually during order processing or automatically by linking pre-set costs to specific delivery or collection methods.

Watch the video and read on to discover what's new!

1. Quotations / Sales Enquiries

Accurate carriage costs can now be reflected right from the Quotation stage. With the ability to pre-set delivery charges by method and threshold, sales teams can provide more reliable, consistent estimates, boosting customer confidence and speeding up the enquiry to order process.

2. Sales Order Processing

Order processing is now more efficient and transparent. Delivery methods can include fixed or automatically calculated carriage costs based on value or weight thresholds. This ensures correct charges are applied every time, reducing the need for manual adjustments and improving overall accuracy.

3. Invoicing & Pricing

Carriage costs are now seamlessly integrated into pricing, whether you're using fixed rates or variable deductions. The new setup supports clearer invoicing and ensures customers are charged accurately based on the selected delivery method and applicable thresholds.

4. Return Order Processing

The ‘Set Up Collection Methods’ program now allows users to record pre-set carriage costs for each collection method, including fixed costs or tiered costs based on value or weight thresholds. These costs can be entered when adding or editing a collection method and options exist for both automatic and manual calculation methods.

The Return Order Entry program has also been updated to automatically apply these carriage costs to orders, where available, or allow manual entry if not pre-set. Additionally, when viewing order value and margins via the ‘Value’ option, the total carriage cost is now shown in a dedicated textbox.
