Congratulations to Kim Atkinson who is celebrating her 5-year Long Service milestone this week.

We caught up with Kim to find out more about her time at OGL so far:
"I joined OGL Software five years ago as a full-time Marketing Manager. My role involved planning and delivering marketing campaigns for new business and working closely with the sales team to promote our business solutions.
During my time here, a lot has changed personally - I had my twin boys and later returned to OGL in a different role as Existing Customer Manager. In this role I focus on supporting and communicating with our existing customers, helping them stay informed about new developments and opportunities within OGL’s solutions. It has been great to experience different areas of the business over the years.
One of the things I enjoy most about working at OGL is the people. We have a really friendly and supportive team and everyone is always willing to help each other out.
I’ve really enjoyed working on campaigns and communications that help our customers better understand our solutions and get the most value from them.
I think one of the funniest moments for me was when a customer called to give us feedback about a promotional gift we’d sent them. It was a small desktop garden pot that comes with a compost seedball - the idea being you plant the seedball and within a week or two it starts to grow into flowers. Unfortunately, the customer had mistaken the seedball for a chocolate truffle…and attempted to eat it! They then phoned us to suggest we should warn other customers not to eat them. We had been sending these gifts out for about two years, and this was the first time anyone has attempted to snack on one!"
Kim's manager, Cindy Phillips, commented: "The last 5 years have flown by. When Kim first joined OGL, we were still part of the wider OGL Group, and she was aligned to the Software Division, where she was an instant hit with the teams. I was delighted that she moved across with me to, the now independent, OGL Software company where she continues to be a highly valued member of the team.
Kim always brings a beaming smile and infectious positivity to her role. The world of customer comms can be unpredictable and balancing the demands from across Delivery, Support, Customer Success and Web Services can be challenging, but Kim just takes it all in her stride.
Following the birth of her twin boys (and having 3 children under the age of 3 at that time!), Kim started working part-time but her commitment to delivering a first-class service to those that need her support is unwavering, and she maximises every minute of every day that she is in the office. She is like a machine (a real multi-tasking wizard) and has an incredible capacity for getting things done quickly and always to a high standard.
Kim, you are a joy to work with and never fail to make us smile. I am always proud to hear the fabulous feedback I get from the departments that you support and know your value extends way beyond the Marketing Team.
Congratulations on your 5-year anniversary and thank you for all your hard work; I really do appreciate it, and I look forward to seeing what you can achieve over the next 5 years."
Matt Meredith also added: "Working with Kim is a real pleasure, her positive outlook coupled with attention to detail makes her a real asset to our team. While Kim isn’t directly part of the CSM Team, we work closely together, helping not only with customer comms but also being approachable with the CSMs and Transitions Consultants. In truth, she very much feels like part of the team.
No matter how many times we rethink our strategy, or change our plans, Kim always smiles and finds a way to keep momentum with projects. Thank you for everything you do for our team Kim, here’s to the next 5 years!"
