Congratulations to Louise Bullock who celebrated her 5-year Long Service milestone last week.

We caught up with Louise to find out more about her time at OGL so far:
"I joined OGL during lockdown after being made redundant from a role I’d been in for 26 years, so it was a huge change for me and, honestly, quite scary! I started in the small Profit4 Support Team with Alex and Jamie, supporting around 12 customers at the time. I quickly grew in confidence, really enjoyed building relationships with customers and learning Profit4 inside out. Even when the call list was long, we always worked as a team and kept each other positive.
I was then lucky enough to be offered a role in Development – something I never would have imagined five years ago! The team have been incredibly supportive, and I’ve loved gaining insight into the work that goes into new features and helping customers get the most out of the software. I honestly can’t believe how much both the software and our customer base have grown since I started. I’ve been very fortunate to have such supportive managers throughout my time here – Mikayla in Support and Andrew in my current role.
My biggest achievement has probably been building my confidence. Coming from a completely different background, I never imagined I’d be confidently supporting customers with complex accounts queries. Everything I’ve learned has come from listening to customers, understanding their needs and figuring out how to make the software work for them. That personal growth has meant a lot to me."
Louise recalls a few memorable moments… "When Support was based in what is now the Sales and Marketing building, we had a muntjac that used to visit outside our window. Me, Alex and Jamie used to feed it apples and were genuinely worried about it when the land was being built on!
I also once spent days convinced I could hear people talking through my new headset, only to discover I’d accidentally left a recording playing on repeat. I dragged Mikayla over to listen and everything!
I have more funny stories… but most of them are probably not suitable for BLogle! Let’s just say I have a habit of saying random things without thinking — which people who know me would happily confirm."
Mikalya Price, who was Louise's manager when she joined Support commented: "Where do I even begin with Louise!? Louise has been part of the Profit4 Support Team from the very beginning, and she very quickly became a core member of the team – with accounts as her undeniable speciality! We’ve shared many fun moments on our Cash Accounting calls 😄 and, of course, enjoyed the daily funny stories about her wonderful daughter, Willow.
Louise quickly became a firm favourite with so many of our customers. Her dedication is second to none, and we often had to force her to take a lunch break and log off on time! I can honestly say I’ve never worked with a more dedicated individual who cares so much about her role.
Through her hard work and commitment, Louise earned a well-deserved promotion out of Support and into her Product Adoption role which is a role she is absolutely incredible at! While we all miss her hugely on Support, it’s amazing to see how well she is thriving and the impact she continues to make.
Louise, thank you for your dedication and for the constant help and support you have provided over the years. It has never gone unnoticed and has made such a difference to the team, to me personally, and to our customers.
Congratulations on your 5-year anniversary – here’s to the future!"
Louise's current manager, Andrew Davies, added: "Louise has been with OGL for five years, and the last 18 months as part of the Product Engineering team have shown just what she's capable of. Drawing on everything she built up in her time in support, she has taken real ownership of how we share product knowledge, with both our wider teams and with our customers. The resources she has put in place quietly underpin how effectively we all communicate what Profit4 can do and how our customers adopt it.
Louise is one of those people who makes everyone around her more effective, often without it being obvious just how much of that is down to her. She is a valued part of the team and I'm glad she made the move across. Here's to what comes next, Louise!"
