A huge congratulations to Matthew Pearsall who recently celebrated his 10-year Long Service milestone.
We caught up with Matthew to find out more about his time at OGL so far:
After graduating university in 2014 I started at OGL the following year in the Web Services department under Dario Brenni where I took over the development of Channel Hub from Andrew Davies. In 2017 I began migrating into the Profit4 development team, working on Profit4 in its infancy alongside Nathan Lord, Andrew Davies and a several others who have since moved on. Since then, I’ve continued to develop within the team and have progressed into one of the Technical Lead Developer roles.
My favourite aspect during my time at OGL Software is the opportunity to challenge and improve my skills. For example, most recently the development of WMS for Profit4 has required me to learn a new programming language and framework as well as design principles unique to Android and mobile app development.
My biggest achievement is seeing how far Profit4 and the engineering team have come. With the support of those around me, we have forged a solid product and an amazing team.
Some of my fondest memories are from the early days of Profit4, when the team was much smaller and we were all packed into an office in the Farmhouse. The tight-knit environment made for some great moments and set the foundations for what the team has become today.

Today, as one of our two tech leads, Matthew has been instrumental in shaping the technical architecture that underpins Profit4. His deep technical expertise has guided critical decisions around our deployment processes and core features like our WMS functionality. When complex technical challenges arise, Matthew is the person the team turns to – his technical depth and problem-solving ability consistently deliver the solutions we need.
What makes Matthew particularly key is his deep technical expertise and commitment to building robust, well-architected solutions. His technical depth ensures Profit4 is built on solid foundations that will serve our customers reliably for years to come.
