Anglia Bearings has been an OGL Software customer for over 30 years. They joined OGL Software in 1993 on prof.IT (OGL’s first business software suite), they then migrated to prof.ITplus (OGL’s flagship business software solution) in 2008 and most recently migrated to OGL’s newest ERP system, Profit4 in 2022. Anglia Bearings liked the functionality that prof.ITplus provided as well as the relationship they had built with OGL Software but needed a future-proofed solution that would help them to achieve their goals.

Profit4’s remote accessibility was a significant factor in their decision. The director of Anglia Bearings explained: “Everything aligned for us to move to Profit4. We'd used prof.ITplus for 14 years which worked well for us but we wanted to future-proof our business and be safe in the knowledge that we could log in from anywhere with an internet connection and be able to use it.”

Anglia Bearings had a positive experience migrating from prof.ITplus to Profit4. Commenting on their transition, the Director said:

“The transition was well organised and easier than we had anticipated. The training was completed in individual sessions, allowing us to prepare ahead of time. The fact that all sessions were recorded was helpful too, so if you did forget something it was easy to review it afterwards. The ability to test the system in real-time without affecting anything else was also invaluable. There were some teething problems which we expected due to functionality changes between prof.ITplus and Profit4 but looking back we are very happy with the move.”

Since migrating to Profit4’s browser-based system, Anglia Bearings have enjoyed the benefits of remote access, which has put their minds at ease, especially during the pandemic.

“We have future-proofed our business. Now we can work from anywhere and if we're setting up new branches in the future, it's just a matter of connecting it to the cloud.”

Anglia Bearings have already seen improvements in productivity and efficiency by using Profit4. The director commented, “Profit4’s interface is very quick and easy to use. It’s like having another member of the team. Profit4 easily saves us the work of one whole person every day without the expense of hiring another member of staff. My favourite feature is the main search bar, it makes searching for things so simple. Whether it be a delivery note, invoice, or a customer or part number, Profit4 refines the search as you type which saves a great deal of time.”

Migrating from prof.ITplus to Profit4 has been essential to the longevity of Anglia Bearings  business. Thanks to the support and training provided by OGL Software, Anglia Bearings are now reaping the rewards of their new system, which has helped them to future-proof their business and improve efficiency, productivity, and customer service.
