Cindy Phillips

Head of Marketing

Quick Fire:

My last meal on earth: Cheese board (but no sweet biscuits, only savoury) and no fruit or celery – just cheese!

The album I’d take to a desert island: Girls Aloud – Sound of the Underground or Pink - Funhouse

The movie I could have on repeat: Miracle on 34th Street (1994)

On my bucket list: Win the lottery and open an animal sanctuary

At OGL, I’m responsible for…

All things marketing.

The thing I’m most proud of in my job is.…

The launch of Blogle, my team, and growing Marketing’s impact across the business – now a proactive lead generator for Sales.

People may not know that in my role…

I get to buy the most random of items for campaigns and events ranging from golf balls, branded wrapping paper, air fresheners, tubes of toothpaste, tape measures, jelly beans as well as bottles of wine and chocolates.

Before OGL I…

Ran my own marketing consultancy business for 4 years working with SMEs and non-profit organisations. I also delivered marketing workshops for start-up businesses.

What I like most about working at OGL is…

The people, the location (5 minutes from home), the variety of projects that I get involved in. I just love marketing.

The best career advice I’ve been given…

Never ask anyone to do something that you are not prepared to do yourself (made me very self-sufficient and has helped me gain the respect of others as they know I will muck in and help out with anything when needed).

When I was growing up, I wanted to be…

An accountant.

Away from the office you’ll find me…

In the garden (if the sun is out), at the gym in a Spin class, or more recently on the golf course (just learning to play).
