What did you do before joining OGL?
I graduated from Manchester University with a Computer Science degree and worked for a much smaller company for several years. This involved working in varying roles including managing internal eCommerce shopping channels and working in various IT and telecommunication related areas across the business.
Tell us a bit about your role
Managing key complex web services projects as well as additional web-based solutions such as punchout integration and shopping channel integration.
What are you most proud of in your job?
Successfully delivering web solutions and seeing customers reap the benefits of all of the hard work after they go live.
What do you like about working at OGL?
The people. I'm lucky to have a great team within Web Services. However, there is also a great mix of people who work across other teams.
What's the best career advice you have been given?
If you do not get the information you are looking for, keep asking relevant questions until you get there!
What do you get up to at the weekend?
Horse riding with my family or geocaching or other outdoor related activities.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
An entomologist (someone similar to David Attenborough but more focused on insects).
