Matthew Meredith

Customer Success Team Manager

Quick Fire:

My last meal on earth: I should probably go for something classy and expensive, but the truthful answer would be a big tasty with bacon meal from McDonalds!

The album I’d take to a desert island: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Californication

The movie I could have on repeat: Shawshank Redemption

On my bucket list: This is a great question, I think visiting South America is up there

At OGL...

I manage the Customer Experience Team, which involves working with all of our Customer Success Managers, and regularly speaking with and visiting customers; all to help both our Profit4 and prof.ITplus customers maximise use of our software within their businesses.

The thing I’m most proud of in my job is.…

Making a difference! I really get a buzz out of helping customers utilise our software to benefit their business either through helping sell more, or improving processes. I also love coaching and mentoring our team - seeing confidence grow and sharing my experience is very satisfying.

People may not know that in my role…

I’m not, and don’t need to be, technical! People often say, ‘you work in IT, can you fix my laptop?’ No, I can’t but my support team can 😊.

Before OGL I…

Went to university in Swansea to study business and marketing. I then had various roles before joining OGL at the tender age of 23.

What I like most about working at OGL is…

Getting to know people. I take pride in understanding customers' businesses and how they use our software, but also understanding the people I am visiting is just as important to me.

The best career advice I’ve been given…

More of a Richard Branson quote, ‘If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you're not sure you can do it, say yes - then learn how to do it later’.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be…

An actor! You wouldn’t believe it given that I’m not usually the loudest person in the room, but I always wanted to be a film star growing up.

Away from the office you’ll find me…

Watching football, usually Kidderminster Harriers or Arsenal. I also play in a local Snooker league. My wife and I generally like watching and playing sport so this is what we spend most of our time doing…until little one arrives 😊
