My Favourite Five:
Food: It has to be a curry. In particular, if I had to choose, I’d say a chicken dhansak
TV show: Definitely Game of Thrones!
Film: Murder in the First, with Kevin Bacon. Other than that, I’d say Shawshank Redemption
Song: Hello by Lionel Ritchie
Childhood Memory: I can remember smashing the back window with a bucket when I wanted some water for my sandpit and my parents weren’t answering the door.
Can you tell us about your job role?
I’m a Senior Account Manager within our Technical division. I work closely with my customers’ IT departments where I focus on ensuring OGL is delivering the right services that can help improve their business.
What is your average day like?
Usually I’m out on the road visiting my customers, whether that’s in London, Cardiff or Manchester. Once I’m with my customers, we spend time reviewing their current support and identifying any new ways that we can help improve their business.
What is your career background?
My main background is Telecommunications. I used to be a Sales Manager for a small independent telephony company in Banbury, Oxfordshire. I really enjoyed the role, but as I relocated to Worcestershire, I didn’t fancy the long commute every day.
What is the most common question you get asked?
I get asked so many various questions from customers. I suppose the one question I hear a lot is “What else can OGL do for us?”.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Pay day! Ha, no I love the fact that my job is so diverse. With the IT industry constantly changing, there’s so many innovative new technologies that can help varying businesses. I really love it when I can spot an opportunity that can help my customers.
How do you like to spend your time away from the office?
Away from OGL, I work with British Touring Cars and I love anything to do with motor racing! Other than that, I spend most of my time either playing basketball or down the gym.
