Sue Bullock celebrates 35 years at OGL

Sue Bullock celebrates 35 years long service

A huge congratulations to Sue Bullock who reached her 35-year anniversary last month. As a special celebration of such a significant milestone, the Directors took Sue, and other long serving staff, out for lunch this week but here is Sue’s story...

“35 years – where did that time go?  It doesn’t seem that long since I joined the Company, starting at a time when the offices were in Hartlebury.

“I was lucky then to find an interesting job that I have always enjoyed doing. There has never been a dull day. The software has changed so much.  From the early versions to the development of Prof.IT and then prof.ITplus and so many change requests from our customers.

“Throughout the whole time, there have however, been two constants – the amazing knowledge of my colleagues and their willingness to help out with problems.”

Sue’s manager, Charlie Grant had this to say about Sue: “Another fantastic achievement, 35 years of service is truly remarkable.

“I love working with Sue, she is a joy to work with, nothing is too much trouble, and she is always more than willing to help. She wants what’s best for the customers and will often go above and beyond to deliver excellence. Not only does she help develop the prof.ITplus product, she also has no hesitation to jump in to help support our customers when required.

“An example to all and Sue, thank you from all of us for your continued dedication and here’s to the next 35 years!! ðŸ˜Š”

Debbie Barton commented: “My earliest memory of Sue was her attending her first interview 35 years ago when we conducted business under the banner of Oliquip Group Limited and she hasn’t looked back.  I can vividly remember her working as part of the original “Dream Team” of developers in the days of Adrian James, Bruce Watson, Tom Macaulay and of course, Andrew Davies and Phil Hawkes and prof.ITplus was merely a dream.

“When I cast my mind back to those days it conjures up images of the software company working out of two small offices in a fog of smoke and our invoices being recorded in an A4 hardback book, which we still reminisce about today.  How OGL Software has grown and become the company it is today is down to the people who work for the business and Sue’s contribution to our success has been nothing but magnificent, she is an absolute stalwart.

“No task is too small for Sue and underneath that quiet and unassuming exterior lies a person whose desire to do her very best is unquestionable.  The quality of her work is outstanding and over the years she has garnered the utmost respect from her colleagues and our customers alike.

“I’m sure everyone will join me in congratulating and thanking Sue for her 35 years of service to the business.  Sue you are an absolute star which shines brightly within the OGL family, your commitment, impact, and loyalty over the years is extraordinary and we thank you for the contribution you have made.  Long may it continue.”
