James Shelley Celebrates 10 Years at OGL

A huge congratulations to James Shelley who is the latest member of staff to join the Long Service Club having recently celebrated his 10th anniversary at OGL. James was presented with an Amazon eVoucher and engraved glass trophy from Neil Morris on behalf of all the Directors.

James looks back on the last 10 years:

“I started my career at OGL as a Training Consultant and was fast tracked to taking on my first customer within 6 months. I had previously worked as a Training Consultant for an insurance software provider so working with stockists and distributors was a complete change for me.  Within 12 months I was approached by Debbie Barton to take on the role of Software Account Manager from Richard Meredith as he was transitioning into a New Business Sales role. Account Management was a whole new world for me but one which I have thoroughly enjoyed.

“The best part of my role is developing strong relationships with customers and helping them find the right solutions for their business needs, which in turn helps them become more efficient and ultimately more profitable. I have experienced challenging times which I guess can often be said for anyone who works within sales; that said, I am proud of my achievements over the last 10 years where I managed to always successfully hit target!

“Over the last 10 years I have worked with many different people that have a wealth of experience which has enabled me to learn and develop within my role. With the launch of Profit4 it’s an exciting time to be part of OGL and I am looking forward to being part of making the product a huge success. 

“I would say that my transition to managing ‘A-Grade’ customers would be my biggest achievement – this has been both challenging and rewarding but has provided me with the ability to develop some very strong relationships within our top tier accounts."

Claire Jones, James’ manager, congratulates him on his 10 years at OGL:

“James is a very valued member of the Account Management team; he joined the team after a few years in the Training department and his knowledge of prof.ITplus meant he could seamlessly take on existing customers.  James’ experience and personable approach has meant his customers rely on him to provide products, services and updates that are relevant to them and tailored for their business. His sales achievements are always consistent and even in uncertain times we can rely on him to achieve the figures set out and reach his potential through well qualified and thought out approaches."
