Lucy Mannion Celebrates 15 Years | OGL Group

A huge congratulations to Lucy Mannion who recently celebrated 15 years at OGL.

Lucy looks back on the last 15 years:

“The company I was working for at the time was closing, and I had always wanted to be teacher, briefly going to university but not finishing the course. I saw an advert for a 1st Line Advisor at OGL with the possibility of progressing into a customer training role so this sounded perfect for me. I joined as 1st Line Advisor, progressed to 2nd Line Advisor and then Training Consultant. I had a great time travelling all over the country training but when I had my first child I wanted to be office based so I went back into Support as a 2nd Line Advisor. As I missed the training side I was offered the role of Training and Development Coach internally for staff and this is what I have been doing as well as working on 2nd Line Support.

“I really like that every day is different and you are constantly learning new things within the software which keeps it interesting. It’s going to sound corny but the team are fantastic; they are my work family! It’s a great environment to be in and we all support each other. This extends outside of work as well. I have recently had a period of illness and was overwhelmed by all the support and kindness I received, not just from my team but from staff in other departments, senior managers and directors.

“My favourite aspect is training / mentoring staff and watching them develop on their learning journey. It’s nice to feel that you have played a part in their success. It’s also very satisfying resolving customer incidents and helping them achieve what they need from the software."

Sharon Moreno congratulates Lucy on her 15 years at OGL:

“Miss Lucy has performed several roles within the Software division, from 1st Line Support Advisor, Training Consultant and In House Trainer to name but a few. Her reputation precedes her, and she is second to none in her field of expertise. It is an absolute pleasure to work with Lucy and I am extremely proud of everything she has achieved over the last 15 years.

“We’re extremely lucky to have Lucy as part of our team and she is exceptional in everything that she does for the business. I’m sure everyone will join me in celebrating the achievement of this significant milestone and in expressing our gratitude for all her hard work.  Long may it continue!”
