Matthew Pearsall Celebrates 5 Years at OGL

A huge congratulations to Matthew Pearsall who is the latest member of staff to join the Long Service Club having recently celebrated his 5th anniversary at OGL. Matt was presented with an Amazon eVoucher from Emma Porter on behalf of all the Directors.

Matt looks back on the last 5 years:

“I joined OGL in November 2015 having previously worked as a Software Developer for 18 months at another company, and university before that.

“I started as a Web Developer in the Web Services department, developing and supporting the new Channel Hub application under Dario Brenni.

“In February 2017 I joined the Profit4 Development team and in February 2019 I was promoted to Senior Software Developer to reflect my role within the Profit4 Development team.

“My favourite aspect of the job is the opportunity to innovate and explore different tools / solutions facilitated by a keen team and supportive management.

“My biggest achievements are my promotion to Senior Developer and our recent migration to automated installation / deployment with Docker, which I spearheaded.”

Nick Davies, Matt’s manager, congratulates him on his 5 years at OGL:

“Matt joined the Profit4 Development Team hot on the heels of some excellent work with the Web Services Team, where he had taken on ownership of our Channel Hub application, which continues to be successful for our prof.ITplus customers.

“And this theme of ownership, combined with an abundance of initiative, has continued as Matt worked with the newly formed Profit4 team, tasked with building our next generation of business software using the very latest technologies from the ground up.

“Many months (is it really years?!) on, Matt has much to be proud of, having become a lynchpin of the team and duly promoted to Senior Developer in 2019. His contribution, diligence and foresight are an asset to the team, working closely with all of his team to deliver an outstanding product.

“Thank you Matt.”
