OGL Employees dress down to raise £319 for Make-A-Wish

Throughout 2020, OGL staff are participating in monthly dress down days to support various charities and causes that are close to our hearts. In February, our charity of the month was the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Nominated by Managing Director, Paul Byrne, Make-A-Wish provides seriously ill children with exclusive experiences to give them hope for the future, strength to cope with their circumstances and resilience to fight their condition.

Paul chose Make-A-Wish in support of his son-in-law, Richard, who is running the London Marathon for the charity in April.

Richard got in touch with us to explain why he’s chosen to put himself through 26.2 miles of misery for Make-A-Wish:

“I wanted to do this for a charity I believed in. My criteria was simple: I wanted every pound I raised to make a difference and, as a father of three, I wanted to help parents and children who were facing challenging times create something nobody can take away – great, happy memories.

“Make-A-Wish give children quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition, and a chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold.”

OGL Staff ended up raising an incredible £319.
